I love this store. I have problems with my hip and have found some really great help in finding garments that fit. Very important to help me with pain. Wendy is very kind and sweet, often taking care of my needs. I can ask her questions and she is always willing to help me find exactly what I need. All the other workers are great as well, inviting me to come back soon. Thanks for making this a great store.

I was greeted immediately upon entering, asked what help I might find useful, and guided in person accordingly. Guiding a patron rather than just pointing signals a great service model imo. To a person, staff were friendly and helpful.

Walking into the Deseret Book store in American Fork, Utah is like stepping into a sacred blend of a library, a gift shop, and a spiritual retreat center—except this retreat also comes with an excellent selection of scented candles and so many copies of “Jesus the Christ.” First things first, the bookstore is beautifully organized. Books about faith, history, and everything in between are arranged so neatly, you almost feel like you should straighten your tie before browsing. The shelves seem to glow with a heavenly light—probably because there are about 15 varieties of lighted temple statues nearby. It's impossible not to smile as you stroll through the aisles, feeling like you’re in a hybrid between a church bookstore and the happiest Hallmark shop on Earth. The selection is extensive, from doctrinal deep dives to children’s books that make you nostalgic for primary days. And let’s not forget the artwork—paintings of Christ so inspiring, you half-expect the clouds above you to part as you admire them. Oh, and if you’re in need of a last-minute gift for a baptism or wedding? They’ve got you covered, with more CTR rings and temple picture frames than you could ever dream of. The staff? As friendly and helpful as you’d expect. They greet you with the warmth of a Relief Society president on fast Sunday, always ready to guide you to the latest inspirational read or point out where they’ve hidden the Nauvoo brick ornaments this year. The checkout line can get a little long, but that’s probably because everyone needs to buy at least five things they didn’t plan on—just in case they need an emergency copy of “Saints,” right? In conclusion, Deseret Book in American Fork is an oasis of spiritual goodies, with just the right amount of reverence and the perfect dash of "I didn’t know I needed this, but now I do." Five stars for keeping me inspired and somehow spending more than I intended in the holiest way possible.

I love that we have this location so close to home! I love coming to this place because this place feels so inviting every time I come here. There's a cute kids' corner in this store that my kids gravitate to. So many options for books and they really have a great selection! You can buy artwork, candy, journals, leather bags, and most church-related items. The employees are always acknowledging you and asking if they can be of assistance in helping find something. Such a great store to spend an hour or two in!

Stopped by Deseret Book on Christmas Eve for some last-minute holiday shopping, and it never fails. So many great options for gifts—books, art, music, and meaningful little items. I also really love how the store is displayed; everything feels warm, inviting, and thoughtfully arranged. Always a reliable place, especially during the holidays.
